Here is just about everything you need to know about PuppetFest 2008 Capital Fireworks! But, besides all the wonderful things happening at our Festival, the Washington, DC area is awash with even more puppetry. For instance, the Smithsonian’s new Jim Henson’s Fantastic World exhibit (sites.si.edu/exhibitions/JimHenson.pdf) will be opening July 12, and the Capital Fringe Festival (capfringe.org) will be running July 10 – 27.
And, while you’re in Glen Echo Park on July 11, you’ll be able to see the Puppet Co.’s 25 Anniversary Exhibit in the Pop Corn Gallery, and a special exhibit, Paul’s Puppets, a Baltimore Cultural Institution, 1930 – 1970 at the Puppet Co. Playhouse.
